This family fought so hard to bring Gael into the world. Together they walked through a complicated IVF journey, an unexpected induction, a long long labor without an epidural, and hours of pushing – all of which resulted in a beautiful cesarean birth. I was overwhelmed by Dana and Matt’s courage and willingness to accept Gael’s birth in whatever way it unfolded and was so inspired by the loving support Dana’s mom poured out over her as she labored.
